Bio

Katerina Anastopoulou is a circus artist specialising in aerial disciplines, currently based in London. Her circus journey began in Athens in 2012, where it quickly became both her primary practice and an outlet for creativity. In 2018, Katerina moved to London to study at the National Centre for Circus Arts, graduating in 2021 with a BA (Hons) degree, specialising in Aerial Straps.

Katerina’s work is focused on using circus and physicality as tools to share personal stories, emotions, and experiences. Her passion for storytelling through movement drives her to continually evolve her technical skills and expand her movement vocabulary. Since graduating, Katerina has performed across the UK and internationally, both as a solo artist and as part of ensembles. Notable performances include her contract with MSC Cruises in 2022 for Sweet and Stings (RWS), and more recently with Gingerline in 2024 for the immersive dinner show The Grand Expedition in London.

Committed to ongoing growth, Katerina regularly seeks opportunities to refine her technique and broaden her artistic practice. In July 2024, she travelled to Montreal for training at the Académie de Cirque de Montréal with renowned coaches Victor Fomine and William Bonnet, further advancing her expertise in Aerial Straps.

Alongside her performance career, Katerina is deeply passionate about sharing her knowledge and inspiring others. She teaches aerial disciplines and leads workshops across London and internationally, empowering people to discover the joy of movement and circus.
